During their biology studies Peter Mullen and Georg Pohland developed the idea to create a media consultancy agency which would combine scientific practices, generally understandable information as well as entertainment. Innovation and information, the integration of natural scientific know-how as well as the establishment of special video- and photo-techniques were the basis of a concept which merged the fascination and aesthetics of nature with the demands of sophisticated entertainment.

Sunbird Images was established in 2000. During the initial phase, the two founders were financially supported by the PFAU Initiative of the State of NRW in Germany. As a specialised service company, Sunbird Biotainment Media Production functions as an effective link between science and media.

Dr. Georg Pohland, Managing Partner Georg Pohland is a founding partner of the Sunbird Biotainment Media Production. After a commercial training, he studied biology in Düsseldorf and completed his PhD in Bonn, Germany. After several freelance activities as a scientific consultant he is now in charge of TV-consulting, editorial, text editing, project coordination, science, presentations, training and events.

Dr. Peter Mullen, Managing Partner Peter Mullen is a founding partner of the Sunbird Biotainment Media Production. He studied biology in Düsseldorf and did research for his PhD in Bonn. As the successful author of scientific books he is a well-known expert in the area of the pharmacologically relevant animals and plants. All were the last two years, he worked for a strategic consulting company ALCIMED in Paris as a business developer for the biotechnology industry. Peter Mullen is your contact person in the areas of multimedia consulting, layout and design, publishing, customer relationship management and business development.
